Stylish New Accommodation

At Center Parcs we are always looking for ways to make your break with us even better. In order to do this we have completed our most extensive programme of guest research ever to understand how you, our guests use the accommodation and what we could do to make your stay even more enjoyable.
There were some fundamental aspects that we needed to consider - bringing the forest inside, retaining the open fire and keeping the open plan sociability.
With this in mind we went on a hunt to find a British Interior Designer who would translate our research and understand the brand values and ethos of Center Parcs. After months of shortlisting we were delighted to appoint Target Living and the highly talented designer Tara Bernerd

Founded 5 years ago by designer Tara Bernerd and architect Thomas Griem, Target Living has quickly become one of the most sought after design studios working out of London. In 2005 Tara won the prestigious Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of The Year award. Tara and her colleagues were delighted to be selected to work on the project, 'there were whoops of delight across the office' she recollects. Tara continues enthusiastically 'something we love about Center Parcs is its ethos. the lifestyle it promotes, offering ecologically sound, health-promoting holidays that fit perfectly with the modern world. Center Parcs is a company that is absolutely in touch with the 21st century and what today's people want from their breaks. It was important that the new designs reflected this.'
In response to these ideas, Tara created the designs you can see in the new accommodation section, becoming very fond of them in the process. She explains 'There are certain elements to the designs that I really love. For me, one of my favourite bits is the floor. Every time I step inside one of the new Lodges, I'm immediately drawn to the wonderful, fresh flooring with the bright coloured rugs. It really encapsulates what we were trying to do; combine the natural elements with the bolder, brighter things. I love the blackboard in the kitchen too, I've had so much fun drawing on them, leaving messages for people and I think all the guests will love that too!
